Watch Description

I'm so very excited about this watch because this is the 3rd version of the Miss Liberty and now I have all three versions of the Miss Liberty in sapphires.  The Dial minute track matches the ad perfectly, and has the cut corner tonneau shaped case. The case is 14K White Gold Filled. The middle sapphire is in the reversed position as the ad, and three needs replacement with a new sapphire crown and installing a 15 jewel movement to confirm to the correct Bulova standards. Thank goodness I have all the pieces needed to bring this little Gem back to life.

What is wrong with providing the info vs a photo?? Do you think I just made up this info from thin air? I have posted many of my watches without photos of the inside of the case.

I don't have a photo of the inside of the case nor do I plan on posting one since Stephen found the same watch on Watchophilia in emeralds and stated  it was a true Bulova.

I hope this clears up your confusion.

There is an emerald version on Watchophilia so I think it is safe to say it is a true Bulova.

You did not believe it was a Bulova?

I enlarged the photo from Watchophilia, and discovered the subject watch and Lisa's watch have different dials.  Lisa's has a striped textured looking dial and my watch is a plain solid white dial.

I could not find this watch on Watchophilla, just found  2 of the first version of the Miss Liberty.

HAMILTON EVENING JOURNAL, HAMILTON, OH - AUG- 30-1929

We are at the mercy of the illustrator/artists of these ads.

Perhaps the ads are wrong, or we are interpreting the ads incorrectly.  When I look at this one directly above , I see a floral pattern and scallops where the jewels are on the subject watch. After making this observation, I looked at the rest of the ads and see the same thing.

I wonder if the ad depicted watch (Miss Liberty) has it's sapphires set in the "V" configuration in between the floral "triangles". I'm suggesting the stones may be the thin slightly curved rectangles forming the "V" as opposed to the triangles surrounding them.

The ad directly above this one seems to indeed show the stones via shading. 4 configured in "V" pattern.

Bob,

The illustrator/artists drawing is messed up. I am still very excited about this wonderful find.

I am also happy to know that there is proof it's a Bulova with the photo from Watchophilia of the same watch but in emeralds.
