'LEIII', 'ALLERTON' and 'EDWIN' take the same Glass.

It's not an 'LEIII' which leaves the 'ALLERTON' or the 'EDWIN' based on info currently at hand.

'ALLERTON' is a start, a tentative ID and gets the Watch out of the 'UNKNOWN' pool and opens discussion.

As stated it could also be the 'EDWIN'

Would like to see the date symbol & close-up picture for the 21 jewel 10AN movement please. Along with being a possible prototype trial for the LE III case, it could also be a protype of the 21j 10AN. Having a second example ads to the mystery of the transition between the LE II & III case.

Yes, the Second example....I may have seen a 3rd between then and now, forgot I had the Watch to be honest. lol

Images updated.

focusing on the smudged area around the stem for a datecode, I don't see one.

Did this movement ever get a date?  I don't see any 21 j 10AN anywhere until 1932.  Nice watch.  After five pages of discussion, the possible model name changed many times, and is almost tentative now. (more than one star).  I abstain from ID'ing till I hear from others....

Saw this old discussion and figured Id add some Fuel for it again since it seemed unsolved.

Great pic of a 21J 6 Adj 10AN w/ out SN or date symbol.  Jared, do you have a proposed date for the movement?
I was also wondering....Wayne (or anyone) how are you determining the Gladiator was only produced/marketed in 1930?

I would agree with the Allerton name.

1931 ad has the Edwin and the lone eagle 3, that leaves the allerton that this crystal fits.

If we got the crystal dimensions for this watch and a lone eagle 3 and they are the same as the ones here

http://www.mybulova.com/watches/1932-unknown-2554

that would give the watch in the link the Edwin name.
