Watch Description

Pick this one up recently.  I believe the hands are not original to this watch since the  dial has luminous numerals.  Seconds hand missing, but the pinon is there. The case is hinged, but missing the pins to tie into the case.  Case is not marked GF, but I think it is.  9AT movement runs well.  Is this unknown model worth  restoring, at least correct hands and having the case hinged pin replaced?

I definitely think it is worth restoring, it's a good looking watch. Still looking.

Great watch but the wrong hands for the time period.

Case serial number gives us 1931.

Really worth spending a little cash on hands and service, first example of this model, very nice.

1931 Alvin.

Yes, it appears to be a Alvin.  Thanks for the ID. Now to source correct hands to start with.

Agree on the Alvin model ID, it's a good match for the advert except for the movement which I think isn't a big issue.

Yep good ad match sans movement.  But it's a 1931 Alvin based on the first digit of case serial number.
