Gold Fill is 40 microns, RGP is 20. I'd go with Rhodium as it's alot harder than gold , will last longer and it does look really sharp.

Rhodium plating dates back to the 30's, and is also a common plating on movements themselves. White Gold is often Rhodium plated to improve the shine.

I should mention that in the electroplating of gold-filled cases, the depositing layer is very thin, and does wear off again in only a couple of years, depending on the amount of wear it gets. I tried it once some years ago, and can't say I would bother doing it again, unless it was a very special piece.

Can anyone help out with the cathedral hands for this watch? I really want to replace them
