Watch Description

The tonneau shaped CASE measures 35mm lug tip to tip and 24mm excluding the crown. The case serial number is stamped to the outside of the case which causes me some concern about its manufacture date. The DIAL is matt silver and is funished with radium stylee numerals and a black printed inner minute track and sub seconds dial almost obliterating the 6.There is no dust shield which suggeststo me that the movement could be towards the end of its run.

My first thought was toward the Envoy, as seen in this advert but the longer I gaze at it the less certain I am:

http://www.mybulova.com/sites/default/files/vintage_ads/bulova-ad-1934-…

There seems to be a mixture of elements here as the movement date code shield is good for 1929 / 39 and the case s/n for 1935.

At this point I'm not sure what this dandy really is......

Hello Geof,

Fu

further to your comment I am beginning to wonder if I have something of a FRANENBULLY ?!

How odd, I was under the impression the dial engraving should match the bezel opening, but clearly in the ad it does not. The case appears very similar, and it is possible the dial has been changed, but I don't think we should jump to conclusions just yet.

Hands don't match the ad. Very interesting watch.

Good choices and great watch. Noticing the sub-second registry completely obscures the "6" in both ads, but only partially obscures "6" in subject watch dial.   Hard to comment on case engraving details from these ads, but they are a great start.

Hello everyone,

I am just so happy that I am stiring the grey cells with my challenges.
