Watch Description

Very sweet example of a natural gold 1935 Commodore with the original bracelet and at least period if not original box. We also have an ad saying this is the Apollo, but everyone cries around when I try to call it that! Box reads out of Toronoto and I bought it from a Canadian seller. Date is a guesstimate as the to remove the movement I'd have to take the crown off and I can't ever seem to get those things tightened again!  haha...

Beautiful, Plains.  Are you sure you have to remove the crown?  My Commodore's movement lifts out the top.

With No Disrespect  Intended to Plainsman (who has some of the nicest watches on the site)...this looks quite different from the other two 1935 Commodore's listed....and different from the one I just posted tonight. Maybe we can clear up which are Commodore's and which may be Apollo or something else? They are all quite similar but at the same time this one is different from the others (no etching on the bezel and different style strap. Thanks! DW

P.S. Plainsmen: You can lift the movement out without removing the crown and stem on mine...I'm sure your's is the same....just work around the edge of the case back lip with a screwdriver to lift the movement out. It should also be noted the dials between yours and the m=one I just posted are identical...and the case serial numbers are very close and exactly the same shape. They are related somehow :-) DW

1936 ad for Commodore. It was suggested the Apollo is "similar" yellow gold, but not exactly as picture of Commodore.

1935 ad for Commodore:

I don't see the date for these two ads, but both state white or yellow Commodore. c1934/5?
