I just recently purchased this item at auction and I am looking for someone in central Indiana to clean up and restore to its original glory.  Any recommendations would be great.

Other than having a dirty case, what else is wrong with the watch?

  • Does it run?
  • Does it set?
  • What condition is the crystal in?
  • How much brassing does the case have?

case may need replating... It currently does not run or set, but the crystal is in excellant condition.'s picture

This watch is a 1946 model... The case needs a complete replating, due to extensive gold loss/wear through... (Replate in copper, then 2- 3x to around 5+ microns... in karat gold plating, as stamped...)

It's a popular model... and cetainly a worthy restoration candidate, however :-)

If you or yor watchmaker needs this or any other crystal/s, just let me know???

Best :-)

Case serial number starts with "6", and I think I'm seeing a square date code on movement.  I'm not seeing "47" on movement.  Should be a 1946 model.

I also see a square stamp, making this a 1946 dated model
