Watch Description

Raised Gilt Arabic numerals and Bulova logo on White dial with Black printed tracks. Curved 10K case and back measures a whopping 48mm lug to lug x 22mm wide with Calipers non inclusive of the crown and contains a first year of production flagship 21 Jewel 7AP movement. The original style of Hour and Minute Hands remains unclear for obvious reasons, Gilt Modern would be a logical guess as a Gilt sweep seconds Hand appears on the sub-dial at 6 O'Clock.

Restoraton project / Conversation piece.

Being that this watch contains a first Year run 21J 7AP would lead one to conclude that 1937 was introductory Year of production for this case style named 'BROADCASTER'.

* Unique deco era handpainted art discovered on the dial at 1 and 11 which is completely invisible to the naked eye and make this watch a true one of a kind collectors piece.

**Will be updating as I revive.

Google says "Happy New Year"

:-)

Marcar lo que es el arte de línea que se refiere? Yo no lo veo.

(Hey blame Google  if this is wrong)

Cataro,

El dial de limpieza Hablamos de error. Posiblemente debido a la llegada de línea que más allá de la reparación inicial.

Admin,

On the right side of the dial just above the 1 on the outer edge of the track at 4 seconds there's a painted figure wearing Orange.

Amazing detail and can't be seen with the naked eye.

I sort of see it, but why does it not appear in the top picture?

Also whats the go with the out minute markings on the left side. Bad dial print?

Stephen,

I'm looking right at the dial out of the case on the bench and can't see it with the naked eye, only under magnification. Considering the main body of the character spans one 'tick' and the remainder follows the track border to the eye it looks like the track: notice the entire drawing spans to the 7th hashmark.

The detail on the left I believe could be the artists initial, We'll never know.

The case cleaned up very well, like new. The movement, which according to the database is a first Year 21J 7AP shows a little exterior surface discoloration which wipes away, the larger visible steel gears are toast and the stem is frozen, the balance swings free believe it or not. Sorry about the description, movements aren't my dept.

The challenge now becomes to save this dial..... and coerce the watchmaker to take on the movement.

: )

Maybe the Sea Bugs were having a Party inside the Crystal, using the Minute track as a Race track, That would explain the weird "ticks" and Mystery Figure, He was hiding inside the movement on the Fist picture! :)
