Watch Description

Another fun restore. Came not working and dull. Dial has a touch of dirt but in no way that detracts from the beauty of the shape and deco feel of this piece. There is also a touch of plate loss on the corners of the back. To me this movement and the piece in general is in crazy nice original condition considering its age. Band is fantastic as well, the wood with gold accents is just great and a wonderfully rare find.

You're correct.

2 mid-late 1930's  'BRETON's currently in the database - one is engraved, one not.

Both utilize a 6 ligne Movement.

'BRETON', not much else it could be at this point.

Case dimensions?

I'm just going to start listing it in the description for you :) it measures about 38.5 lug to lug and 21.5 excluding crown.

They help as a comparison as it's difficult to judge a Case size from images.

The dimensions given are very close to the 'BRETON's mentioned prior, both tentatively ID'd as such.

Great looking watch. There are two identical 1935 ads, one low res color and a higher res in b/w. The b/w clearly show engraving. I'm going to have to say Unknown for now too.

The adverts don't seem to show a clear engraving pattern and at the moment out of all the adverts we have available to us the only watch that matches the case shape, dial and movement is the Brenton. Even the crown is recessed.

Tentative Brenton for me.
