Watch Description

I believe we have a unknown Minuteman variant.  I believe I've seen thr black and yellow dial style a few times in the past but this is the first I've owned.

I don't know if it's a redial, but if it is, it's been done pretty decently.

Sporting what may be the original Kreisler leather strap.

I like it! My observations:

Movement dated 1938, but case s/n says 1941. We have ad documentation of one Minute Man with this two color dial, but is has Roman numerals. It's quite possibly a redial, as fully numbered M.Men in the time period with a full numbered dial sported raised numbers. It seems logical if this one was a redial of the linked one, the person doing the redial used the available template at hand.

1941 Minute Man with probable redial.

Jerin - any adverts to support your observations?

Here is one I restored some time ago, with what appears to be an original dial.

This looks to be a Minute Man.  This black and gold dial as well as the 1940s black and white dials seem to be factory but I have been unable to find any documentation of this dial configuration.

I've identified variants B, C, D, E and F through adverts. Nothing labeled "A" so assuming the initial release (1937) just defaulted to the "A". However I'm curious what is was as the "B" seems to be the base model, non-engraved on a leather strap.

  • Minute Man "A" - ????
  • Minute Man "B" - white dial, plain bezel on leather strap
  • Minute Man "C" - white dial, plain bezel on bracelet
  • Minute Man "D" - black dial, plain bezel on bracelet
  • Minute Man "E" - whte dial, engraved bezel on bracelet
  • Minute Man "F" - whte dial, engraved bezel on bracelet

We know there were other variants as well.  The Sentry and the Midshipman.
