Model ID rating explained.

Manufacture Year:

Movement Model:

Movement Serial No.:

Case Serial No.:

Case shape:

Additional Information

The BULOVA "STANDISH," Circa 1939. Please pardon the very low res. scans! I just had to add a third ID this week...  Perhaps Stephen can do something with it, in Photoshop?! LOL...

And despite the "2D" (i.e. FLAT) look... the same glass fits two Gruen Curvex models, BTW...

And a 27.5mm long glass... likely equates to a 44mm+ long case??? ( i.e. a "Curvex look..." )

And you might want to perhaps "reconsider" the addition of the "Westfielders" linage, post Bulova's acquisition, thereof? Afterall, it just cost me -$140.00 to snipe an LE 2, that LESS than a year ago... would have went for 1/3rd of that!? (i.e. about $40.00- $50.00, UN- ID'd!)

G' Day Stephen,

WHAT? You mean there's NO GOING BACK, to lesser valuations?! (DRATS! I helped create a MONSTER!?!)

That book is listed for sale on eBay... for ONLY, $200.00US!? I just bought the 1940 edition for $45.00 (and a similar 1950) for less.. (Wink...) The cover says "1939..." so the models may well have been RELEASED (and therefore also manufactured) in 1938??? (I'll see what the copyright, etc. is, for the 1940 edition, soon enough...)

$135.00+ delivered for a radium dial LE II that needs a service, redial + glass and strap? Yah... I'll get $295.US+ for it?!?  (i.e. Gross maybe $50.00? LOL.) I want the client... (i.e. Have a buyer in mind, therefore...)

Daca   I looked in 1938 thru 1940 and don't see this ad on site.  It's a nice one.
Did find a 1939 ad for Standish though...
