Watch Description

Here's a nice gent's watch owned by a customer, 7AH movt needed a new hairspring and full CTR but is running well now. The movt itself is stamped with both the Asterisk and the 'Anchor', indicating 1941 and 1942.

I thought it was a Minuteman but can't find any match. The crystal is very slightly curved and the case is curiously flat. The 7AH that is in here is different from other 7AH's I have in stock, the lower plate is flat, while there is a curvature to the others. What this means is not all 7AH's are the same, not by a long shot. Despite having parts that are interchangeable with other movts like the 7AK, there are some significant differences, like the balance bridge. The 7AH, 7AK, 7AN, and 7AP all use the ETA 735 ebauche, but again, there are differences.

I'd agree with Boone.
