Watch Description

Although we have yet to find an ad, we have been ID'ing these as American Eagle. Rose gold case with interesting Kreisler band end pieces with a spring bar at the first link. It is interesting that the first link is almost impossible to remove from the watch case without ruining it. The band detachment point is below to install either a matching bracelet band or leather. Makes me wonder if this is original and the watch was offered on a choice of leather or bracelet. I received it as seen.

Pretty clean and keeping time.

Here is a 1940 ad with the dial but with Arabic numbers not Roman.

I would say yes on American Eagle.  The black and grey dial was a variant.  Both two tone dials were in several models it seems.  Both great looking combos.  Congrats on the find.

That dial is a good looker and I like it.  Perhaps its my imagination but do the numbers it seem to curve away from the bezel at the top and bottom?  It doesn't look like it does the same thing in the ads.  I'm wondering if the dial isn't from a midshipman or something.

Hey Tom, good eye. What you are seeing is a combination of crystal distortion, camera angle and the movement/face weren't sitting quite square in the case. I just looked at it and the face design is a perfect rectangle and matches the lines of the crystal opening, no bowing of the sides.
