Watch Description

I'm trying to positively identify the model of my watch. It looks like a 1941 Director case. But it has gold hands and a cream colored dial. It has an 8AE movement with the symbols for both 1941 and 1942 stamped on it. And for some reason the number of jewels mark has been scratched over. The movement doesn't have a serial number on it. I'll upload more pictures if needed to identify.

Edited 27 Feb 2013 to include to more images.

I apologize if the pictures are not the correct size. This is my first time uploading pictures and I resized them about 6 times before I got them small enough to upload. Submitted 27 Feb. 2013.

It would help if you could please take pictures of the movement and the inside of the back of the case. I think you are right on the case being a Director but it will take being able to see the movement before any determination can be made as we don't ID from case only.

I added an image of the movement and the inside of the case back.

So in 1942 they had the Minute Man, but later renamed to the Navigator in 1944.

And in 1941 there was the "Director"?

I figured there was one more but couldn't find an advert for it.

Assuming this is a 1942 watch , based on the s/n, I would vote it a Minute man.

I'd say Minute Man. The Navigator appears to be the same case but engraved on the verticals.

Minute Man....I'll update to 1942 based on case serial number.
