1942 BULOVA

Case back:BULOVA-10K GOLD FILLED and serial number

Inside case back:BULOVA FIFTH AVE NEW YORK

7AP 21 jewel movement is dated 1940(omega symbol)

Dial:butler finished dial has applied gold numbers and hands and reads BULOVA.There's a notch at the bottom indicating an older redial.

Crown is unsigned

As indicated there is a dash in front of the serial number that looks like it was stamped at the same time as the numbers themselves.First time I see this and would like to know if it means something

Certainly looks like a Bulova President. Would look fantastic all polished up with a nice brown leather band.

Hey Den. Since there's only 6 digits in the serial number the dash means the first number wasn't struck good.

If the fisrt number wasn't struck well do we date it by the movement date?

Admin,I think it needs more than a polish as there's quite a bit of brassing top and bottom.Maybe a replate job.
