President F is a 7AK 21 jewel and looks different in the dial department. Look up the 40 F model and you will see my 40 F model and it has been given 3 stars with ad verification. Look at the 1940 ads and you will find it. I have seen your watch in the ads but can not remember which one iot was.

You are right on John,

This watch is not a President "F",  the dial has been refinished at one point in time, and whom ever had it done skimped and did not have it 3-toned.

The biggest difference is that the case has the square style lugs...and that it is not Pink Gold compared to the ad.

I think it belongs in the (Frankenbully) excuse me...Non-Conforming Category.

Good Eye!

President "B" case with a poor redial and wrong hands.   Looks like the dial refinisher may have used a President "F' print(not a very good one).

Yes, the hands on the President F are not gilt and the case and band are rose gold 14k gold filled.

I don't know if I would call it a fb but it might qualify for what ever is decided willl be the name of the inconsistant bulova watches.  The movement should be a 7AK and 21 jewels.

Pres w/ vairant letter one star from me.  F is red gold...either stated or assumed from the dial match to ad.   Here's a 1940 President ad showing "F".
