Hello gcw, welcome to myBulova. I have, on several occasions purchased a watch for the bracelet only to have it arrive and decide that the two should not ever be separated. The good news is that it's much easier to find another bracelet than it is to find such a fine looking pair.

I wonder about the date you've selected. I don't see a date code on the case back and do see the "X" on the movement indicating a 1943 date. Additionally the serial number leading 3 also indicates 1943.

Assuming a 1943 date, I believe your watch is named Broadcaster.

I'm not sure of the X either. There is either an x or a + on the lower right section of the mechanism. Since I didn't see a + symbol anywhere I assumed it to be a n X. I also didn't see any letters to accompany the leading 3 in the serial number so, I assumed it to be a 1953. I seem to remember reading somewhere that was what I was suppose to do. I'm not too concerened about idenifying it for myself but I do feel I will need that to determine a value in the future. I hope to someday sell it or or use it to barter repair on my 1946 tuxicdo watch.
