Watch Description

Hello. I wish to identify this watch. I haven't been able to open the back case, so I can't tell the movement serial number.  I've tried matching this watch to those in the database, but haven't been able to find it.

Case number is 471591, and beneath BULOVA is 14 K in a square, with a circle on both sides.

Thanks.

EDIT: I have since opened the back case and have confirmed that the movement model is 5AB.

Bulova Lady Maxim. Should have a 17 J movement.

More like the Carol at the bottom of your linked ad, Mark, but 14K red or yellow gold, can't tell.

Similar to the Lady Maxim.  1946 ad snippet below:

Great condition Lady Maxim!  Nice watch.  In the absence of a date code symbol on the case and unknonw date of movement, the first digit of case serial number suggests this is a 1944 production date.  There may be ads for the Lady Maxim before the date of ads posted above- I don't remember.
How did you determine the current 1946 production date?  Perhaps based on the date of the ad?
