Watch Description

WWII Bulova 'Type A-11 Navigation'.

Chrome plated *base metal Silver Case measures 40mm lug to lug x 32mm wide non inclusive of the Crown using Calipers.  Black Dial shows White printed Military standard Arabic numerals and track. Hour, Minute and sweep Center Seconds Hands are painted White.  An anti-magnetic shield and gasket appears between the Caseback and Movement.  Decagonal Caseback is Stainless Steel, screws on and is stamped as shown.  Crown is original. Hackset. The Type A11 is shown finished on a New Old Stock Vintage WWII U.S. Military issue 1 piece strap.

*early Bulova Military Cases were Chrome plated base metal Silver.

What is the purpose of the A-11 with the blue background? Is that an authenticated A-11 for comparison?

The Blue image is taken directly from the War Department manual AN 05-35A-9.
