Watch Description

I picked up this senator in a lot of watches on ebay a while ago. When I got it it was extremely dirty. It looked as if someone smeared soot all over the dial. The watch is now in almost new condition. The dial has spotting on it but it looks much worse in pictures than in person. I ended up being able to source the original bracelet too! Luckily my 19 year old wrists are small enough so that I can wear it. The inside of the case says that its a stainless steel back and 10k gold filled bezel. The movement is a 17j 8AH with a very faint square date stamp on the main plate next to the balance bridge. This is the oldest Bulova in my collection with the exception of my pink gold 1941 senator with a tri tone dial.

1946 Bulova Senator with a seldom seen original bracelet.   Great find. Great to see young people collecting watches!  Wear it with pride.

Very nice snag! The original band really puts it over the top. Nice cleanup job!  I am really happy to see a person of your generation who appreciates old watches. Good for you, I think you have been bitten by the Bulova bug ;o)
