Watch Description

Based on my digging through your site, I am guessing this is a His Excellency. Movement says 47 but from the pics I have seen on here, the dial looks to be more 48. Could this just be a carryover movement and built in early 48? Case states 14k good filled and appears to be a rose gold more so than a gold. Let me know what other questions you may have. I would also be curious on a value as these vintage Bulova watches are all over the place on price. Thanks.

Welcome to myBulova!  This is a great looking watch, congrats!  Lighting can be tricky to accurately show, it kind of looks like it is yellow gold in the photos but I am assuming it is rose gold with it being 14K gold filled and having the copper dial.  It is not uncommon for a Bulova watch to have a movement and case within a year of each other.  A 47 movement and 48 case is perfectly acceptable.  Here is an ad for the His Excellency with your model.

Ok so here are two ads naming the rose (red) model as "TT", one form 1949 and from 1950.

Nice watch, I like this model. Sorry that we are not able to give valuations or appraisal, our primary goal is to help identify vintage Bulova watches. As you can see, it was worth $71.50 USD in 1948. One question, what is the indication that the case is 1948?
