I scrolled right on by this guy the other day without more than a passing glance.  About ten watches later in the auctions I saw this exact same model/dial combo reading solid gold!  I scrolled back and low and behold in a blurry picture you could just make out 14K SOLID GOLD under the Bulova.

I clicked the BIN as fast as I could!  Haha....

Case is 41mm in diameter, the overall weight of the watch is 41 grams.

Bulova Pocket Watch.  I don't know the roman numeral dial, and I think the only ad's we have from this era for a pocket would be the Buckingham?

I guess it could be just a generic "Pocket Watch".  This advertisement from 1947 looks to match this case, and it does talk to 17 jewels.
