Watch Description

Rose gold. Band says GEMEX 1/20-12K Gold Filled. My grandparents gave this watch to my mother on her 16th birthday in 1948. It looks similar to Goddess of Time models, but I haven't seen any cases that are exactly like it, so I'm not sure that's what it is.

Thanks, I have a lot going on right now so haven't really given much thought yet as to whether I want to have it repaired.

Thank you so much! That does look like it.

I did get the watch serviced and the crystal replaced. I'm glad I did, as my mother passed away earlier this year, and it has been good to have this as a keepsake.

I have seen this as Rosanne with the cord band and as Mary Lee with an expansion band like this https://www.mybulova.com/watches/1948-mary-lee-10013.   There was also a Dolly Madison with a 21 jewel movement.  With the replacement band I would be fine with either name.

Thank you!

As far as I know, the band on the watch is the one she had originally. That makes me suspect that her parents probably bought it with the cord band, and "upgraded" it with the replacement band. But of course, I can't really know.
