The ad shows the Claire in 1946 which you claimed it to being released in 1947 with the expansion band vs the Victoria only being sold on a cord band, and now stating Dec 46 release date.

You missed the DIAL differences:  The Victoria ad shows no railroad track outside border where the Claire has the railroad track border as my watch pictured above does show. Given the ads provided in this postings.

My watch is the CLAIRE based on that fact.

Yes I missed that ad until after I had posted this but on newspapers I did not find any 1946 ads for Claire or any ads for Victoria after 1947.  Christmas ads were often red or green so it is an educated guess.  I do have Victoria ads with the railroad track border and to me the two watches look identical except for the bands.  Also interesting that it seems there were several different dials.  In 1944 I found an ad that had roman numerals.  A 1945 ad state white dial with gold markers and hands.  Your watch is copper with black numbers and blue hands.  Mine is white with black markers and blue hands.  Yet they all look correct.  So for me this is how I will vote going forward.

1944 and 45 Victoria

46 and 47 with original band, cord band Victoria,  expanstion band Claire - with replacement band 46 Victoria 47 Claire

48 on Claire

No not yet.  I haven't had time to search the partial ad section to make sure they aren't already in there.  These are 1945 and 1946 ads

Are all your ads for Victoria (1944- 1947) and Claire (1946-1948) going to be posted in the DB soon?  trying to finish my research

Hi Kathy,
I have one I just posted says 47 inside. Special bracelet looking original fits with. Is this Victoria or Claire? Dunno...

I don't have exact dates but I do have these ads and they are Christmas ads so probably Dec. 46

IMHO, I would not put too much stock in the difference between cord band vs expansion band, due the fact that they are changeable.  We have no way of knowing if band is original and/or changed at some point in time.

As for the case, we have in the past seen stretches between the  movement and the case. (a quote from Reverend Rob https://www.mybulova.com/watches/1945-mayflower-9920

In one of my other watches, my back of case was replaced due to damage and we went with the movement date for the watch.

I'll keep my records with 1947 Victoria, due to the movement date.
