Its look like a 1948 '' HIS EXCELLENCY '' But they have little difference.

Any chance of popping the back off to see what movement is inside? I suspect it'll have a 21 jeweled movement.

Yes. I will receive it back from the watchmaker in a couple of weeks. Then I will take a pics of the movement. Thanks

Certainly fro the 'His Excellency' series.

This 1948 Bulova advert shows the watch and notes that's its availabale in yellow, red and white gold versions.

Thanks. In the ad you just send. It’s written “excellency” in the dial below the bulova. So not the same dial. So maybe the FF ? Not sure

I really don’t know beacause all the excellency I see in the ads are only 10k solid gold

The pricelists show three His Excellency models at $62.50; the 'GG' 'HH' and 'II'. The few ads we have show the 'GG' as the yellow gold option. I find no ads for the HH & II.

Here is an unconfirmed white gold model from 1948, photo pulled from the web some time ago listed as NOS w/ tag:

The model number 37129 matches the pricelists for the 'II'. That leaves the 'HH' as a possible rose gold version. Subject watch appears to be a 14K GF Rose gold model with the copper dial and dark hands.

Also, the model numbers associated with these three HE variants are also assigned to the Ambassador A (HE-GG), B (HE-HH), C (HE-II); which were the pre-1947 His Excellency models. I do not find any ads clarifying which of those variants were for the three color options...so no help there.

His Excellency, tentative for the variant 'HH' (unless watch is not rose color)

Great work Ken and would totally agree with this line of thinking.
