Watch Description

I believe this watch is a 1948 Senator, however although I have found numerous Advert's for the Senator   I have not found any 14K Gold Senator's.  Also this dial varient with the partial six visible is found in 1944 but then I don't see it again until 1949  See Advert below. http://www.mybulova.com/sites/default/files/vintage_ads/bulova-ad-1949-13.jpg   Case measures 34.30mm lug to lug x 21.85mm without the crown.    Crystal measures 24.22mmx17.95mm   Dial has been redone as exact by International

Sure looks like a Senator to me!  Nice gold watch!!
I checked the Spring 1955 price list (below) to see if any Senator variants listed reflected prices which may suggest solid gold.  Didn't see any, but that doesn't mean they weren't out there in 1947.

Dennis (or anyone else) Personal Message me with an outside email address and I'll FTP you all the Bulova Fair Trade model price lists we have to date.  They are handy!!

I think the Senator was a different beast by 1955, so the lists may reflect more recent variants than those like the subject watch.....

I think this is a Senator, and a very nice one at that!

Tentative Senator based on the case being solid gold. We haven't seen that before I believe. Very nice!

Thanks everyone for your feedback, it is appreciated.

When I bought this watch, it was one of those very bad picture listings on the Bay. All I knew was that it was a Senator, much suprise when it showed up in 14K. It was about 6 or 7 years ago and I paid $29.00.

I have spent countless hours trying to find a 14K Senator in the Advert's and Data base, but as you know there aren't any. Also there are not any other models close to this in 14K, so either it is a Senator or another model that we haven't seen yet,

Thanks again for all of your help.
