Watch Description

J9 marked 10BC movt, men's watch. The dial was refinished in 1970, so discrepancies with the original are there. I am leaning towards 'Arnold'.

With Kind permission of the original owner.

I think a lean toward "Arnold" is a good move too.

Not sure about the discrepancy in years. These casebacks didn't wear out generally speaking, so a swap would be the movt. Perhaps the original was replaced by the older movt. The watchmakers sometimes didn't even inform the customers of the swap, it would depend on the circs, ie, a warranty job, or some other refurbishing deal Bulova had as SOP. For example, Omega had this policy for years, they would exchange a refurbed movt for the customers original, and as far as the customer knew, it was merely serviced and placed back in its case.

Arnold. I like the rare "J9" on the movememt. we don't see too many of these.
