Hello,
This watch was to my grand-mother of 95 years old who passed away two months ago. I had the courage to open it to have more information! I was affraid to break it!
I guess this is a watch from 1949 refering to the J9? Could anyone confirm it?
I have checked all the pictures on the web site and internet, no luck to find one like mine.
The watch seems to be in Rose Gold. We doubt the bracelet is the original.
Thank you for all information we can receive about this souvenir.

Hello Suzanne, welcome to myBulova. I'm a big fan of heirloom watches. I think you are most fortunate to have this lovely keepsake from your grandmother. We always recommend regular service for vintage watches if you intend to wear them. These watches can last several lifetimes if they are serviced regularly.
In terms of the model, it is circa 1949. Both the date code on the movement and the serial number confirm the date. I don't think the model is Gloria but the Lady Maxim does look similar. My vote for ID would be tentatively Lady Maxim.
I'm seeing differences in the case as compared to both of these ads, there appears to be three facets to the centre upper and lower bezel, different than the LM. The Gloria seems to have additional corner angle raised areas, whereas the subject appears more deco and straight line.
Unknown but still looking.
