Very nice Bulova President. I can't say the case is original or not, others may know more. Case serial number indicates 1951.

It does seem to be in exceptional condition for its age movement workd perfectly and is very quiet , more than most of the other movements l have.

The watch is in very nice condition, and I would say it is one of the President models. I don't see this case style in any ads after 1947, here is a match from 1946. This case was also available in 1941 - It is possible that the watch is a 1941 based on the case serial number (1951 usually is shown with L1), with a 1949 movement swap. The band does not appear to be the original.

Bobee, it appears that it was around this 1947 period that this style was perhaps changed from President to His Excellency, as I don't see this style advertised as a Pres after this time nor one for an HE prior. I believe they use the same crystal size also. I think a photo of the caseback will assist us here to figure this one out, unless it was possible in '51 to have a case s/n w/o the L1.

Based on caseback dated A9, I would consider this a 1949 His Excellency EE
