Watch Description

Signed 5x Dated 2x: Distinct 'Academy Award' ribbed Case measures 37mm lug to lug X 22mm wide non inclusive of the Crown while using Calipers. Two tone Harlequinn or 'X' Dial shows raised Gilt Arabic numerals and Bulova logo with Black printed tracks. Hour and Minute Hands are Gilt Modern style and a Gilt Modern style Seconds Hand appears on a sub Dial totally obscuring the 6. Crown signed Bulova.  Caseback is Gold stamped Bulova L0 (1950) and Bulova 5th Ave New York inside. 21 Jewel 7AA movement with Breguet Hairspring stamped A9 (1949). Matching Kreisler Bracelet.

*Restoration project: Found in a drawer after many Years. Dial shows age from Years of missing a Crystal and will be replaced or refinished. Movement appears untouched, winds, sets and runs perfectly. 100% Original.

Wish I could clean it up, I think it's beyond that and needs refinished but Yes. The rest of the Watch is Mint, the Dial, completely thrashed.

If you are going to refurb anyway, why not try and clean first, you have nothing to lose.

There's a place I thought was in Chicago here in the U.S. but it's not, called Gus's. They clean Dials and I've seen the work, very good.

I may try to brush it off, You're right there's nothing to lose.

Stephen, even though it didn't show in the pic the BULOVA logo on the Dial face is applied Gilt also,  really a pretty piece.

The watch was just tossed into a drawer needing Glass and forgotton to collect dirt.
