I believe this is a transplanted Bulova movement and dial into an aftermarket case. For this era, Bulova cases will almost always be marked on the outside back and if not always on the inside. A second indicator is the minute track on the dial being square but the case opening being oval.

We would classify this an a Non-Conforming watch, one in which all components are not made by Bulova.

Thanks Geoff.  I suspected something was off because of the case back.  I didn't notice until now, the dial/case shape issue.

Agreed. The dial and movement are part of the 'Her Excellency' series of ladies watces, but as Geoff indicates it is now being housed in a non Bulova case. If you are keen you can alwayss look through the 1950 Her Excellency examples we have on site and source an original case that's a fit for your dial.

Non-conforming is correct.

Agree Non-Conforming with a Her Excellency dial.
