I have one of these and was finally glad to be able to identify it.   It belonged to my father.  Any suggestions who/where or how I could get it repaired?

Hi Richard. We have several great watchmakers as members on site.  Many of them do mail-in servicing, and the quality of work is fantastic.  Here's the link to members websites. Some watchmakers are listed there.   On the main homepage, there's also a banner ad which admin runs for various watchmakers/jewelers.  Those are a resource too. Hope this helps you get your watch repaired/serviced.

Case serial no. has this as 1946. Ambassador is a misnomer, DOUGLAS would be correct.

Bob, I would agree if there were no date code on the case. Unfortunately the record is a little slim on details.
