1951 Bulova Baxter I believe. Not many have been seen but having found this in the "new" advert sections i think we can confirm the Baxter model.

hmmm I think it's the Baxter :-)

Really cool looking watch. Hopefully you can find the matching original band one day.

Nice one Gary - I think the Kreisler 'Bamboo' band is what you need. I bet there's one lurking in one of the corners of the bay.

Baxter for sure, 1951.

One thing about those NOS Bamboo bracelets- they are small. I had to buy two to make one that would fit my wrist, and they're not that cheap.

Thanks. I have bloody hundreds of old bands from this era here that have amassed over the years for one reason or another, hurrah i hear my self shout when i found the correct band only to then see someone filed the ends down at some poin to about about 12mm! Gutted!  Am i right in thinking this was the same band that was on many of the acadamy watches?
