Watch Description

1951 Men's 21 Jewel Calendar Watch. According to the really smart and dedicated folks at MyBulova.com is the first real Bulova Date watch (except for a very very few produced in the 1930's) and currently the only 1951 Model on this website.  This CALENDAR model employs the 21 Jewel 10BMCD movement. I purchased form the original owner over 30 years ag and have always been afraid to wear it due to the Minty Nature of it's Case, Dial, Crown and Hands. (I had it serviced and still haven't worn it...) 5X signed on Dial, Movement, Crown, Inside and Outside Case Movement marked - BULOVA 10BMCD U.S.A. L1 Outside Case marked - 10K GOLD FILLED BULOVA L1 5011222 Inside Case marked - BULOVA FIFTH AVE NEW YORK 19mm Lug Width Case measures 39.4mm Lug to Lug X 31.9mm without crown

The linebook calls this Calendial not Calendar.  I am inclined to go with the line book name.

One of my personal "bucket list" watches.

1951 Bulova Calendar (per the later linebook Calendial). A fine example indeed.

Model# 31199 is listed in both the early pricelists for Calendar and Calendial, same price.
