This 1951 Beau Brummell was given to my brother many years ago.  He had it cleaned and lubricated and keeps perfect time.  Can anyone help identify the jewels on the watch face?  Were the jewels real or imitation?

Wonderful that you have your brothers watch.   It does match the 1951 Bulova Beau Brummell.   The rubies are listed as Simulated in the ad while the others are listed as "white stones".

Thank you.  I will work on getting a better picture to post.  It is quite an exquisite piece.

A wonderful model and the stones are simulated.

According to the linebook 1957_LineBook_BAWD0132.pdf (which includes some 1951 models), this watch is listed as a Bulova Cambridge

1951 Bulova Cambridge

The linebook page this watch was listed on also includes the 1951 Bulova Berkshire.

Good match, Stephen! Well done! It would appear this previously named Beau was renamed

They apparently changed the dial a little too and added a square around the seconds hand in 1951. This is an all original 1950 Beau Brummel that I've been working on and it doesn't have the square. Another interesting thing I found out, the cannon pinion and hour wheel in the Beau Brummel are taller than the ones in the Squadron models. This one had a broken staff on the 4th wheel and it would not come out of the cannon pinion. I put a new 4th wheel in it and tried an hour wheel and cannon pinion from a Squadron movement and the hands wouldn't clear the stones on the dial.
