Watch Description

White metal case, inside reads,"Bulova", "Fifth Ave", "New York".  Outside, "Bulova", 10K Rolled Gold Plate","L1" on one end.  Other end has serial number.  Has a real nice quarter faceted crystal.  Nice Matching Speidel expansion band. Inside end caps marked "54", next caps marked, "PAT 2,515,817" (which places this between 1950 and 1951).  All other caps marked "Speidel" only.  This is not working at the moment. MAY need a new movement (or a lot of money to fix this one....) and a new dial. This one has had a bit of a hard life....case back is worn through and a lot of moisture has effected the movement and dial.  Appears to be a Bulova 1951 Ruxton with a different dial (though there is a 1952 model on here with the same dial. Perhaps this dial for the white gold variant ?). http://www.mybulova.com/watches/1952-ruxton-9798

Thank you for posting.   This one seems to be non-conforming to me.   The dial does not seem to fit in the case as it should.   The gap on the left side is especially wide and I would think should be much tighter.

If we are still IDing per the case I am good with Ruxton.

Interesting watch. It does appear to be a Ruxton case by shape. We have ads stating yellow gold or white, but I don't find an ad showing a white version by a variant letter, it's only referred to as "same as above". I first considered it may be the white version face, but The corners of the seconds track don't seem to match the crystal opening. Track has rounded corners as opposed to sharper cornered opening. Seconds track is just visible in the ad below and is tight in the corners. I would go Ruxton if ID'ed by case, but this one almost seems like it may be non-conforming if dial and perhaps movement are from another model. It's a coin toss for me.

The more I read....and I look at the watch....the dial at leas,  IS from another case entirely...even in the case you can see the wear from being in a different case.......so probably should be non conforming "Ruxton" case with at least the wrong dial.

I agree that it's seems to be a Ruxton case but I have to vote Non-Conforming.
