Watch Description

This one has me stumped on model ID. I can find similarities in others, but nothing exact. I can't find one with these exact lugs that doesn't have engraving. I'm thinking it might have a replacement movement because it is stamped "L2" and the case is stamped "L1". There are no servicing scribes inside the case back. The bezel is 10k RGP and the back is stainless. Anyone know what this is?

Thanks Den. It's an old JB Champion. I wish they still made new ones with a little curb appeal for these old watches. But because of the narrow lugs the choices are very limited today.

Whilst the watch shares a number of traits with the His Excellecy and Director, I believe this one will be from the Senator series. Trying to find a match now.

Gorgeous watch Alan, looks just wonderful, maybe even new. Hard to believe that 7100 watches into the database we're still being presented with Bulova watches for which we have no information at all. I can't find a thing to match it. I certainly is a dandy though.

I couldn't find anything on it either Mr. Baker. Interestingly, I found a Bulova ad yesterday from 1963 proclaiming they make 113 different water proof models this year. I found an article from back in the 50's saying they were making 253 different models that year. So with that in mind, I don't think it will ever be possible for any of us to ever ID every model Bulova has made. We'll always have unknowns.

Although this watch shares the same case as the His Excellency 'B', this is an unknown model.

Another example.

And a HE 'B' example.

As can be seen in the ad, the only difference is the X shadowing to the dial, and the jewel count.

Nice watch bud.

Dial and movement may be a donor set, hard to tell.

At this stage Unknown it its current configuration.
