Here is my 1951 Bulova Watertite “P” that I just recently purchased. This variant of the Watertite has the screw on case back in which I have read there are variants with a snap on case back instead. This watch is running and keeping time well and I wanted to share it mainly to show the “Tropical” dial that is beginning to form. From what I have been told, the “Tropical” dial comes from poor UV protection on the crystal resulting in the change of color over time. I personally believe it adds character and accentuates the gold tones within the watch making it very pleasing to look at. If there is any information I missed on this watch I would love to know and I am excited to make this a part of my collection !
P.S. Case back does NOT have a serial # for some reason.
-I do not know the movement serial.
-If any more info can be added (Movement #, Case # etc.) can be added that would be great.
