Watch Description

Overall Length: 31.5mm  Case Length: 23mm  Width: 20mm  Inside Lugs: 16mm  Movement Date Code: L1 (1951)  Solid 14KYG  I checked the ads from 1948-1954 and did not see a model that matched. The glass crystal appears to be original as it is faceted to match the case in both directions.  ***UPDATE*** 02-23-2012 - Found RMS 122-72C Bulova "Patriot" crystal info on page 33 of the Rocket #9 crystal catalog. Didn't have the Rocket but did have the G-S equivalent CMX 320-37 and it is a perfect fit.

Found a December 1950 ad for this dial configuration as a Patriot.  Snippet below. Full ad sent to Admin for inclusion on site.  Crystal specs ID worked until ad was found.

Three ticks confirmed as Patriot.  What is the 1952 date based on? There's L1 on movement.

Thanks Bobbee Now I see it.  Had to zoom to %200 to read it. Didn't expect it to be after the Bulova stamp, was looking below the Bulova.

Sweet! Thanks for the ad update Will.

I felt pretty confident with the crystal id since it was faceted to match the case. Also, Patriot was the only model listed in any of the crystal catalogs.
