Watch Description

I recently inherited my grandmother's watch, which was a wedding gift from my grandfather.  I believe they were married around 1952.  My mother found it in an Eaton's box which was stored in a green garbage bag.  I'd like to get her cleaned up and oiled to wear for special occasions.  It was also stored with an alternate bracelet, which I would like to have swapped on.  I feel it is much better suited and compliments the face and overall design.  I live in Toronto, ON Canada and wonder if you can recommend a location for it to be serviced.  I am also interested in the history of the watch so I may put a name to the face.

Do We have a Jewel Count?

possibly an 'AA'.

Hi GP, welcome to myBulova. Some of the most valuable watches, in my opinion, are the heirlooms, like yours. How fortunate you are to have your grandmothers wedding watch. I've sent you a PM (private message) with repair recommendations.

Mark (fifth avenue) is right - the jewel count will help ID your lovely little Bulova. Perhaps you could bring it to a jeweler and have them pop the back off and tell you the jewel count of the movement.

Mark - we might also be looking at the Excellency line as well?

AA is my call. We have an advert for it. Will track it down and post.

the ad is '52, not clear if the Case is a 100% match.

Actually, my AA call is incorrect I believe. Just noticed the AA that I though was a match has a tonneau shaped dial, this has a square.

Back to Unknown.

Found a case match to this watch but the dial is slightly different.  Could be a Ballerina "C"
