Unlike any 1950's 'PRESIDENT' I've seen, 'EXCELLENCY' perhaps?

Louis

Your His Excellency has more humps than Gadaffi's camel!

This is a 1950

Hmmm, certainly not a President, could be an Excellency but with a two tone X dial? Maybe that's the change up for 1953 but that also could have a name change as well.

Louis is it possible to check the movement for Jewel count and any date symbol, such as 21 Jewels & L3 or watever it says on the movement? I would also suggest changing the watch shape to Rectangular.

Thanks

My money is also on the 'His Excellency'.

Thanks for your helpful comments. I looked  at the adds here and thought it was a President but now I am convinced by you, that it is "His Excellency".

I checked the back and the pin to remove the lid has broken off, so it is imposible for me to open it. On the back it reads  "10k goldfilled Bulova L3. The seller said it has 21 jewels.

Louis,

One would assume with the Gilt numerals and Gilt sub Second Hand showing that the Hour and Minute Hands should be Gilt also. 'Index' style.

I guess you are right, but I have to say that I like the blue hands. I have a simular watch by a Swiss watchmaker "BEHA" and that has gilt numerals and hands, but without reading glasses it is a little more difficault for me to tell the time on that one.

I own a couple of bulova ladies watches 1948 till 1978 , that i have to send out for servicing. Don't know if I can show those here, because only mens watches allowed here?

I think you are right., but I must say I really like the blue hands. I have another rectangular shaped rose gold watch from a swiss watchcompany "Beha" (which word means bra in dutch, :-)), and that one has gold gilt numbers and hands and it's a little more difficault for me to tell the time on that one, without my reading glasses.

Also own a handful of ladies Bulova's which I have to send out for servicing and repair, but I am not sure If I can show those, cause only mens watches allowed here?

Here is a 1953 with Excellency below Bulova on the dial. How about that, 3 years older than the add & it didn't grow any more humps.
