Thanks Admin, but it was Nova who caught it.  She just pointed it out to me and I stole the thunder!

agreed, identical.

A concrete Date for the vintage advertisement would be nice.

P.S. another consistant I'm noting is that Index (straight) style Hands are always paired with a Dial showing straight 'hashmark'(?) Hour Markers. Alpha style (Arrow) Hands are always paired with the Arrow Head style Hour markers....if Yinz are catching My drift.

Modern with Numerals?

Here's another twist, The 1953 is packin a 21J 7AA movement,  the 1955 is a 21J 8AE. Please do not bring up any Academy Award theories. My bet is on the " Cromwell " in 53, re-named " Warwick " in 55.

BTW Mark, your movements dated 1953 as well.

Just a thought

Yes, both dials are identicle with matching hands. I'm not questioning the id on the 54-55 but perhaps on the 53 I have. This is a prime example of why I don't/ and won't rely on crystal specs for an ID. Scott blew alot of smoke and mirrors I think now need be dismissed. Crystal data is unreliable. If you want a pic of the crystal pac I will be happy to post it,

GS crystal packets don't always list all of the brands/models that it fits. Some crystals are listed in the catalogs as fiting several brands and many models. I would think that the GS packet listed the most popular models at the time.
