I had that case just sitting empty so I put it to use.  I do not know if it goes with this style or year.

Yes the watch is a  23 sunburst

I'm not sure if that display case would be for this watch,  If anyone knows please fill me in.

It's difficult to properly ID watches that are assembled from components coming from several watches. We have many people looking for help identifying their old, in many cases heirloom watches so it's important that we 'get it right'. If the components are of the same era and were originally found in a particular model and/or variant I am comfortable providing an ID. If the components are not know to be model/variant compatible I will always suggest the Non-Conforming ID.

My question on this watch is around the movement, what is the movement date code?

It's an L5 movement . it's all original Geoff baker.   I was meaning the Blue bisplay case not the watch.

Well that make perfect sense to me now. I assumed you meant the WATCH case, apologies.

Looks like a proper Bulova 23 'B'

Your display case would have been seen later around the 1960's. This type was used in 1955 for the 23 series.

Yes, Ken has it spot on, Bulova 23 "B". This is a fine example.
