Looks like a great example of a 1955 Bulova Lenox. We have another similar example of the Bulova Lenox here.

We will then consider this model as a 1955 LENOX. I would like to know why "CARACAS" appears on the display.

Whever sold me couldn't explain.

Thanks.

I did some digging, and it seems pretty certain that your watch had "Maximo Blum" between "Bulova" and "Caracas" that was cleaned off or intentionally removed. I found several same time period Bulovas on Google marked in this fashion.

The info I found was a bit confusing, but I am guessing he was a jeweler or importer/exporter of watches to/from Venezuela?  Perhaps an office in NYC and also Caracas.

I found Bulova watches, as well as clocks face marked in this fashion. I started by Google searching "Caracas Bulova" and was led to "Maximo Blum Caracas Bulova".

Text is from Treasury Decisions Under Customs and Other Laws, Volume 84

This is pure speculation; A possibility is that he bought Bulovas in NYC, disassembled them into parts to avoid tariffs and custom fees, stamped the face and shipped them to a location in Caracas where they were re-assembled and sold.

That said, 1955 Bulova Lenox
