Looks like Windchester model that someone has put custom hands on.  1955 watch wouldn't have those hands.  It would have the gold pointed Duphane hands like the ad for your watch here.  Your dial is pretty shot and will need a refurb.

It's not a Winchester. Have you checked the on-site 1950s ads? A picture or data from the movement wiould help. A picture or list the data from  the outside case back & inside case back would also help.

A couple of possibilities....thoughts ladies and gents...

1950 Duo-Wind

1950 Bulova Duo Wind

1952 Duo-Wind (correct hand)

1952 Bulova Duo Wind

I wouldn't neccessarily rule out the Winchester.

Nice find on the 1950 and '52 Duo Winder ads admin.

*Observation: The lugs appear narrower on the unknown than on the Duo Winders.

Is the Case stamped?

Will provide a pic of the back shortly!

Nice info and ideas guys! Thanks!

This was my Grandfathers watch that he gave to my Grandmother on his Deathbed. He told her to give it to me when the time was right...I was only 6 at the time!

The hands and crystal were replaced but for sentimental reasons the dial was left alone and original.

At this point all I have is the case Ser#   A395803

I'll post the pic of the back asap

Thanks & Regards,

Erik

It's a Duo Wind.

I would rule out the Winchester. On the Winchester notice the exagerated knobs on the lugs where they attach to the case.
