Watch Description

1956 Bulova La Petite "F"   SN P83978

When I saw this, the date code looked like L5 in the pictures and the description said L5. Under the loupe, it's L6. I bought this thinking it was a 1955. It was and still is intended for my mother-in-law. She graduated from Southside High School in Memphis, TN in 1955. Elvis was dating a girl from Southside at that time. She tells us how they used to make fun of that guy that wore those funny clothes.

The movement runs well enough for her to wear it without having to be serviced just yet. It will get serviced in a short while.

The movement is a 23J not 17J.  I will update the listing to show the correct jewel count.  Confirmed model in the 1958-1958 Linebook BAWD0136 page 18.

17 is my default answer. I thought I'd looked but, obviously, I didn't. It's nice to have something more than 17 in my collection.
