American Girl, Not sure of the letter extention. I have a 1954 like this posted. I also have a 1954 and a 1957 in white gold.

Well if Shawn Bourg doesn't know the variant of this one, I'm certainly not going to venture a guess

I agree that it's American Girl

American Girl is my first instinct too; now is that based only on this watch having the bangle type band, like other American Girl models, or do we have other identifiers?

I think there were a couple "American Girl" models from the 40's which didn't have the bangle bracelets, but all the watches from this period with bangle bracelets were "American Girls".

No ads have been found but the American Girl line was the only model line with a bangle bracelet band. As Geoff said, If I don't know the letter designation, we don't have it yet. I have 16 different American Girls, never thought I'd collect them but after completeing my collection of Academy Award watches,        ( Only 1 of the men's model's eludes me)  but I really like the American Girl designs so now I have too many.
