Watch Description

I inherited this "American Girl -R" watch from my mother. She had received it as a graduation present in 1960. After many decades of neglect, I had it professionally cleaned and repaired. The dial was also cleaned and repainted. A MyBulova.com member was kind enough to send me a replacement safety chain, which is a must with this watch to keep it securely on your wrist. I was also able to find an original velvet presentation case on eBay for the watch, which will help to protect it and keep it clean in the future. The serial number I have for the movement was handwritten on the inside of the case during its last service, so I'm not absolutely positive of its accuracy until I have another service done.

It's so wonderful to be able to wear something that was so important to my mom. And it's really neat how many younger women have commented on it!

How great it is that it's an heirloom; on the original band and in the original clamshell case! It's a real beauty.
