Additional Information

Gold plate bezel with a stainless steel back.  Year is determined by the caseback.  Can't seem to get the back off.  Frustrating but I'm not going to force it to hard. Jewels is a guesstimate as all these round watches from the 50's seem to be 17 Jewels unless 23 or 30's. Would love to see if that blemish on the dial could be helped.. but then of course I'd need to get the caseback off!

Did you give it a kiss and a cuddle first...or just go straight in for the kill. :-)

That lip that Mark pointed at the 1 o'clock position out will be the key.

Good luck dude!

Will probably be 17J.....Clipper of sorts maybe. Will look through the ads tonight.

I have a round L2 with same setup on the back case. I use a 6 inch HELIX stainless steel ruler on this type case. The ruler is flexible & has a cork strip on the back that you can use against the lug. Also works great on the 20s & 30s watches.

Case looks like Royal Clipper. Dial & hands are not RC.

Looks like a 1957 Senator C based on this line book listing.

1957 Bulova Senator "C"

A near perfect match for the 1957 Bulova Senator "C". I'm not sure if the band made a difference, but for now it at least gives it a model name.
