What a cool watch. I don't see it in any of the adverts but I think it's a "Bulova 23". This is the era Bulova was advertising the "23". The dial markings are consistent. We have seen those open lugs on Presidents too but not quite the same......
Unknown or tentative "23"
Mix'n'match, almost. 1958 ad.
Great looking mens watch. Would totally agree with a generic Bulova 23 call. Variant not yet seen.
Bobbee is correct in that the advert above shows the case of one watch and the dial of the other. My gut is telling me that its a model variant we haven't seen before and a very nice one at that. Great combination!
Thanks for the comments. I'm pretty new at this. This one was left to me by my father, but I can already see myself at least trying to acquire others.
If there is anyone place on the watch that a picture wold help with id be happy to take another.
If you could, more info on the date letters/numbers on the case and movement would be cool.
Very nice watch and a beautiful heirloom, get it serviced, it will keep really good time for many years to come if it is looked after, and something for the great, great grandkids to ooh and ahh over!
Here is a better image of the three watches in the advert above. Looks like the subject watch is a combination of all three. Very nice!
Bulova 23 from me! Hope we find an ad showing it as one of the myriad variants vs a "combination"
Bulova 23, variant unknown. it is very "President" looking and I'm certain I've seen an ad somewhere but that may be watchiemer's kicking in again.
